As you know, we are all about teardrop camper life, and it makes us so happy when we can share what we know with other teardrop trailer owners. That brings us to the fantastic Boondock Interiors and the even more amazing owner, Deborah Abrams. We’ve been collaborating with Deb and her team for quite a while on teardrop camper interior decor, and it’s about time you get to know them, too, so that you too can add some design flair to make your trailer uniquely yours.
Deb’s behind the teardrop camper interior decor that you’ve seen in our favorite interior photos. Boondock Interiors makes all the super cool mattress covers, window covers, and bunk bed privacy panels. And best of all, Deb is one of Colorado Teardrops original early teardrop customers, and as a fellow teardrop trailer owner, she loves to share what she knows as much as we do.
Since the beginning, Deb, and her pup companion “Olive Oil” love traveling to new places in their Basedrop. They rarely visit the same place twice. Deb told us that since getting her teardrop seven years ago, she hadn’t used her passport once! She’s all about road-tripping all over the country. And when asked what her favorite spot is, she is quick to tellus that out-of-the-way places, away from the big RVs, are the best.
After falling in love with teardrop life, Deb started making curtains and other interior design accessories for her Colorado Teardrop trailer. All that time spent around teardrop camper trailers rubbed off, and she learned what items people need for their own trailers. One thing led to another (since necessity is the mother of invention), and Boondock Interiors LLC was born to take care of your teardrop camper interior decor needs.
Collaborating with Colorado Teardrops since 2018, Deb has been listening to customer feedback which has inspired a product line that speaks to other teardroppers’ unique needs and individual camping styles.
“I like to talk to people about their vision and style,” says Deb. “Once you get a chance to talk to people, you start to get a sense of their vibe and what they’d like to see in their trailers. We’ve seen everything from solid colors to even taco Tuesday-themed decor. It’s been a great way to satisfy my creative side, while collaborating to make amazing interiors.”
Boondock Interiors doesn’t have an inventory to pick from. Your imagination is the only limit. Deb likes to start with a phone call to get to know people and then guide them in composing their own unique interior masterpiece. A lot of her items are made with custom-printed Spoonflower Fabric. Spoonflower works to materialize indie artists’ design creations into textiles. This is eco-friendly, sustainable, and scalable. Best of all, when you purchase through Boondock Interiors, you support international artists, local freelancers, hobbyists, and numerous small business owners.
So, if you’re thinking about ordering, go to boondockinteriors.com to schedule a call and get started!
The perfect item for every teardrop trailer owner who likes privacy. These are favorites across the board. And they make waking up in your teardrop the best part of the day. Says Deb, “opening your eyes and seeing a pattern that you picked backlit with sunlight is a joyous moment.”
This is perfect for giving everyone in the teardrop trailer a little privacy. And they add style, too. Suspended by a tension rod, these come with matching tie-back straps, too. Best of all, these can be installed (and uninstalled) with no holes in your trailer walls.
Got an idea? We bet Deb would love to hear it and will probably have a way to make it happen! Reach out to Boondock Interiors here and get started.
And, since Deb is a teardrop trailer expert, we had to ask her to share some advice:
What is the best advice you can give to a brand-new Colorado Teardrop trailer owner:
Give yourself patience and grace; no one is perfect on their first trip. Don’t be afraid to edit your packing list and streamline the process. Getting it right in your new teardrop and finding your groove will take a couple of trips. It’s an exciting fresh style of camping and having fun outdoors!
