Colorado Teardrops is a privately owned family business located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains in Boulder, Colorado.
We currently employ over 40 local, skilled craftspeople to make high-quality teardrop trailers that are built to last generations.
We recently expanded into a new 20,000 square foot manufacturing facility located at 1780 55th St. Boulder, CO 80301
Our trailers are built to withstand the rapidly changing weather and conditions of Colorado’s rugged climate and terrain, where temperatures on the front range plains can be in the triple digits during the daytime and that same evening, at the higher elevations, it could be below freezing and snowing.
Founded by the son of a British carpenter, Dean Wiltshire built boats at a young age. His experience designing and building furniture, cabinetry, and custom homes is now focused on high-quality teardrop trailers.
Dean’s woodworking and building experience, combined with Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Routing experience results in the best quality at the most cost-affordable approach, along with mentorship to our growing team of quality builders.
Colorado Teardrop Trailers are designed and built in Boulder, Colorado. We apply craftsmanship and technology to build high quality, affordable teardrop camper trailers for you and your family to camp in comfort, style and safety.
Our research and testing is done in the backyard (Rocky Mountains) along our “fence line” (the Continental Divide).
From our shop location, there are approximately 50 different campgrounds within 50 miles.
Established in 2014, and in just the first three, very fast, years as a company, we designed and brought seven different styles of teardrop trailers to market – to cover retro, rugged off-road, and commercial uses for teardrop trailers.
We built our first teardrop trailers in 2014 as a rental fleet. Those original models also served as a testing lab for the durability our designs.
We no longer rent, but we always strive to use customer feedback to continually improve the ergonomics, styling and longevity of our models.
Today, our design team continues to take customer feedback to refine the ergonomics, styling and real-world utility of our models.
Colorado Teardrop’s factory-direct selling model is priced competitively, enabling us to use higher grades of materials and craftsmanship at a similar price point, without having to pay RV Dealer fees and their commissions.
Many of our customers plan a trip to Boulder to pick up their trailer and camp their way back home. If that doesn’t work with your schedule, we have a great alternative.
Colorado Teardrops can ship your Teardrop to your home anywhere in the lower 48 States. Current prices range from $500 for the states that border Colorado to $2200 for the states furthest away.
Shipments are insured and our drivers communicate their progress in route to the new owners. Prices are subject to change with fuel prices.
We offer financing for your new trailer through Rock Solid Funding.
