Here is the gear we recommended for your Colorado Teardrop Camper
Power and Battery Systems
These are our recommended battery systems to power your small camper. They have been tested in our teardrop trailers, and integrate through our wiring harnesses to recharge while driving your vehicle.
Other battery systems have different requirements and may not be compatible with our wiring harnesses.
Please check with your adventure consultant before ordering a battery system other than our recommendations.
These are some of the recommended makers of awning systems for your small camper. These brands of awnings have been tested in our teardrop trailers, and integrate with our roof racks.
Other awning systems may have different installation requirements that are incompatible with our teardrop trailers. Our experience has found that these brands are the most reliable and durable.
Please check with your adventure consultant before ordering an awning system other than our recommendations.
Straight Awnings
Straight awnings come in different sizes. These are our favorite manufacturers.
Wrap around awnings come in different sizes between 180 degrees to 270 degrees depending on manufacturer and model. These are our favorite manufacturers.
These are some of our recommended coolers based on the size of your Colorado Teardrop. Different coolers have different depths and may not be compatible with the size of your galley.
Please check with your adventure consultant before ordering coolers at sizes other than our maximum size recommendations.
Recommended Ice Coolers
2-Person Model (Basedrop & Canyonland) 45 Quart Max Ice Cooler Size
Cool your teardrop trailer cabin when camping in the heat of the summer, or when in hot climates, with a Zero Breeze off-grid air conditioner.
Stoves
While most standard 2 burner propane camping stoves will work just fine, we’ve found that we really like these camper stoves when paired with our teardrop camper trailer galley.
For families camping from their teardrop trailer with older children, or friends, who want to provide their larger family and/or their friends with off-ground sleeping that sets up quickly and easily, we recommend rooftop tents from our friends over at Roofnest and iCamper.
Colorado Teardrops offers the following equipment as upgrades. Please contact your Adventure Consultant if you are interested in the following upgrades.
Truma VarioHeat
The ultimate heater for your teardrop camper trailer. This upgrade pairs with our side-mounted propane tank to provide comfort with near-silent operation, intelligent fan control, a three-stage burner system and special night mode.
On-Demand Hot Water Shower
The Eccotemp L5 Portable Outdoor Tankless Water Heater is our on-demand hot water shower. It runs on propane and works in combination with the in-board water option. Luxuriate in a hot shower after getting dirty or get creative with on-demand hot water.
We securely house the water heater on the side of our teardrops in a Pelican 1600 case.
Lock N Roll Trailer Hitch
The ultimate trailer hitch so your teardrop camper can off-road like your tow vehicle! This trailer hitch upgrade enables your tow vehicle and teardrop camper to independently move on 3 axis of direction, ensuring a safer connection and smoother operation between the tow vehicle and the trailer. Open up your adventures to the limitations of your tow vehicle, not your trailer hitch.
Locking Trailer Frame Box
A locking tongue box for the front of your teardrop camper trailer frame. This upgrade enables you to put gear, or things that you don’t want in the trailer – such as waste – into a separate locking box to deter theft, or intrusion by animals.
We use several different manufacturers depending on style and availability.
