Teardrop Trailer camping is the ultimate pairing of comfort and adventure.
An emerging trend among large RV owners is to downsize to smaller trailers like teardrops. The reason? Teardrop campers provide the perfect balance of comfort and adventure. They can go more places, are less of a hassle, can be stored in a garage vs. offsite, and when paired with a few great accessories, can provide most of the creature comforts of a cumbersome RV !
Let’s Talk . . .

Sure, the RV is big. But big often requires off-site storage because it doesn’t fit in a garage. Some of our customers have described having to drive 20 miles to get their RVs to bring them to the house to prep them for their use. And guess what they often say about their RV? “…something is always broken.”
Our customers who also own RVs, purchased their Colorado Teardrop because it can be parked in their garage, and be ready to roll out in minutes of deciding to go. Just put the perishables in the cooler, and roll. With a spacious galley and a comfortable bed, there is plenty of luxury as well as comfort and adventure.
Colorado Teardrops trailers have interior shelving and cabinetry for storing food safely from wildlife and extra storage for just about anything you might want to bring along including accessories for your kids or dogs (or cats!)
Colorado Teardrops has the right size model for you and your lifestyle.
If you own or are thinking about owning a Teardrop travel trailer, you are likely one of many who love traditional camping but are wanting a few creature comforts, such as a comfortable bed, protection from the elements, a no-fuss camping kitchen, and possibly the ability to plug in your devices for work.
You want to hang around the campfire at night gazing at the stars, enjoying the beautiful bliss of nothing but you and mother nature – even if you have to check in with the boss a few times a day.
The beauty of accessorized Teardrop camping is that you can have the perfect balance of comfort and adventure – all the creature comforts of an RV, without forfeiting the amaze-balls experience of camping!
Hot Water
Colorado Teardrop trailers have an option for on-board water storage and a propane on-demand hot water heater that draws the water from the on-board water supply. Hot showers never felt so good, and a little hot water always helps with dishes.
If that doesn’t tickle you pink, then one of the best things you will ever discover is the solar camping shower. It takes up little space, and under the right conditions, this nylon backed bag will produce water so hot, you’ll need to cool it down. Fill it with water and set it in the sun. In a few hours, you’re in hot water, baby! Dry off with a lightweight, easy to pack, quick-drying microfiber towel.
If squatting in the woods isn’t for you, you might think you need an RV with a toilet, but the truth is there are much more straightforward solutions. Our favorite is a portable camping toilet that provides a clean and comfortable place to take care of your business with effortless cleanup. Line it with a plastic bag partially filled with kitty litter and dispose of accordingly, just like you would the cat’s meow. Most customers store such things in the exterior locking tongue box along with other dirty things.
Make it private with this easy to launch privacy tent and light the way with this space-saving inflatable lantern. Most customers choose to store their commode in the external trailer frame tongue-box.
Your clothes will smell like a real ocean breeze or pine forest with this foot pump operated clothes washer. It’s small, easy to use, and can significantly impact the amount of clothes you need to pack for your journey.
Colorado Teardrops trailers have a fabulous built-in kitchen (galley), and you may be surprised at out how much storage they provide. Still, collapsible kitchen dishes, food storage containers, a tea kettle, colander, and bucket are among the many products that pack easily and take up little space. Most campsites have picnic tables, but for extra space, pack this folding table and camping chairs, or accessorize your Colorado Teardrop with one of our table options.
Triple insulated means that everything lasts longer – the kids, the food, the drinks, the ice. And with options like a Truma VarioHeat Heater or a ZeroBreeze air conditioner, it has never been easier to stay comfortable.
You don’t need a colossal RV to pack your toys, especially these inflatable kayaks, paddleboards, and life jackets on the market. They’re way more solid than one might expect, providing safety on the water, but they break down to fit in a packable box!
Colorado Teardrop trailers come with an extra hitch receiver on the back of the trailer for your bike rack or other trailer-hitch accessories. You really can bring it all!
