Lifetime Leakproof Limited Warranty

Colorado Teardrops offers a lifetime limited warranty against interior water damage for all 2023 models and newer. The warranty includes the seams connecting the roof and the walls of the trailer, window seams, the galley door, mount points for the roof rack, fans, air conditioners, and other Colorado Teardrops installation points.

Owners must have caulk, all seals, seams, and window sealants inspected and serviced by approved Colorado Teardrops vendors every three years for the limited leak-proof warranty to remain valid. 

Lifetime leakproof limited warranty excludes, but is not limited to, the following:

1. Any water damage that is not the result of penetration through construction points. This includes damage from exterior penetration as a result of improperly closed cabin doors, galley doors, fans/vent, or leaving windows open.
2. Any modifications to the trailer by parties other than Colorado Teardrops.
3. Leaks associated with damage, and misuse.

This lifetime leakproof limited warranty is non-transferrable and applies only to the original owner.

We offer a lifetime leakproof limited warranty, not a lifetime guarantee — we stand 100% behind our craftsmanship and materials, and if something goes wrong with your trailer, we will fix it.

Colorado Teardrops provides 3 years of free annual maintenance.

Colorado Teardrop Trailers Limited Warranty

Colorado Teardrop Trailers, LLC (“Colorado Teardrops”) warrants that it will repair or replace defects in material or workmanship in any components of a trailer purchased from Colorado Teardrops for a period of (1) year from the date the trailer is first delivered (the “Warranty Period”) to the original retail purchaser (“You”). In order to obtain coverage under this Limited Warranty, You must notify Colorado Teardrops of the warrantable defect no later than the day this Limited Warranty expires. Colorado Teardrops’ obligation to repair or replace defective materials or workmanship is the sole obligation of Colorado Teardrops under this Limited Warranty.

NO OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. THE ENTIRE LIMITED WARRANTY PROVIDED BY COLORADO TEARDROPS IS SET FORTH HEREIN. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED BY COLORADO TEARDROPS.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY.

This Limited Warranty does not provide coverage for any of the following:

1. Tires, wheels, couplers, electrical fixtures, windows, chassis, tires, wheels, axles, jacks, and other materials, parts and components warranted by persons or entities other than Colorado Teardrops. Please refer to the warranties of component manufacturers for terms and conditions of coverage.
2. Any part of component of the trailer that was not manufactured or installed by Colorado Teardrops.

3. Normal deterioration due to wear or exposure, including but not limited to rust, corrosion, oxidation, and cosmetic blemishes.

4. Normal maintenance and service items, including but not limited to light bulbs, fuses, lubricants, and sealants and seals.

5. Aftermarket equipment or accessories installed on the trailer after delivery of the trailer by Colorado Teardrops, or any defects or damage caused by such items.

6. Defects or damage caused by, in whole or in part, or in any way related to:

• • Accidents, misuse (including off-road use), or negligence, determined solely at Colorado Teardrops’ discretion.
  • Failure to comply with the instructions set forth in any owner’s manual provided with the trailer.
  • Alteration or modification of the trailer except such alterations or modifications approved in writing by Colorado Teardrops.
  • Failure to properly maintain or service the trailer at regular intervals, including but not limited to the maintenance of lubricants, sealants, and seals.
  • Use of the trailer other than for temporary recreation purposes, including but not limited to use of the trailer for residential, disaster relief, commercial, or rental purposes.
  • The addition of weight to the trailer that causes the trailer’s total weight to exceed applicable trailer weight ratings, or addition of weight causing improper distribution of the weight of the trailer, as determined in Colorado Teardrops’ sole discretion.
  • Failure to seek and obtain repairs under this Limited Warranty in a timely manner.
  • Failure to use reasonable efforts to mitigate damage caused by defects.
  • Improper electric power supply or improper vehicle hookup to other facilities, as determined in Colorado Teardrops’ sole discretion.
  • Acts or omissions of any person or entity other than Colorado Teardrops.

DISCLAIMER OF INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES

Colorado Teardrops hereby disclaims any and all incidental and consequential damages arising out of or relating to the trailer or the use thereof, including expenses such as transportation to and from Colorado Teardrop repair facilities, loss of time, loss of pay, loss of use, inconvenience, commercial loss (including lost profits), towing charges, bus fares, vehicle rental, service call charges, gasoline expenses, incidental charges such as telephone calls and facsimile transmissions, and expenses for lodging. This disclaimer is independent of any failure of the essential purpose of any warranties provided with a trailer, and shall survive any determination that this Limited Warranty failed of its essential purpose.

OBTAINING WARRANTY SERVICE

In order to obtain warranty service under this Limited Warranty, the owner must do all of the following:

1. Notify Colorado Teardrop of any claimed defect within the Warranty Period.
2. Provide notification of a defect within ten (10) days of discovery of that defect.
3. Once Colorado Teardrops has processed your claim, and determines, in its sole discretion, that the complained of defect is covered by this Limited Warranty, to timely perform any directive by Colorado Teardrops so that it may perform any covered repair work to the trailer.

All costs associated with transporting the trailer for any warranty service shall be the sole responsibility of the owner.

WARRANTY NOT TRANSFERABLE This Limited Warranty is not transferable to subsequent owners.

CHOICE OF LAW, VENUE This Limited Warranty shall be governed by laws of the State of Colorado. Any dispute, claim, action or proceeding arising out of or under this Limited Warranty shall be brought in the Boulder County District Court, and You irrevocably consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts, and waive any rights to alter or change venue, including by removal.
