Five Things We Love Right Now

In addition to camping, there are a few outdoor-related things that we love.  We love to share, too, so here are some things we think you should check out. 

The Outdoor Business Podcast with Rick Saez

We love this podcast – and not just because we were on it, check out episode 177.  This podcast does an excellent job of covering topics that are informative and interesting.  Host Rick Saez talks to outdoor company business owners, retailers, athletes, and more about how they started their business and what keeps them going.  Not only is it great to hear the story behind the company, but it gives you some perspective about why these companies and owners do what they do. Great for business owners and consumers too.  Check it out here

Bureau of Land Management’s site

The BLM is not new, but it is definitely  one of our favorites. We love this site for keeping up with what is going on when you want to go camping. While we do like the idea of just packing up and taking off, we do sometimes have to plan.  Use this site for all kinds of great info; closures, areas that might be (temporarily) off-limits, and lots more great info. Moreover, you might find a new spot to make your weekend getaway spot. Before you head out on your next trip, click here

Let’s Eat

We love to eat – who doesn’t?  This article in the Boulder Daily Camera asks some of our favorite local chefs what they eat when they camp – It’s genius!  We were beyond thrilled to read this little tidbit from local chefs. Look for lots of local flavors in these recipes too. Not only are these delicious, but they are also stress-free and (obviously) made for your camping kitchen.  Prepare to shine on your next camping trip when you serve Beef Tartare from Kyle Mendenhall or Jenn Jasinski’s Peach Grilled Cheese.
